It's that time of year again! It's time to register for N.I.A. Kids Summer Theater 2019. The Summer Theater program is by far one of our most exciting and busiest times of the year. Every summer, youth and teens from near and far participate in this seven week summer theater program. The days are filled with intense training in dance, drama, and vocal. In addition to all of the training, the youth and teens have fun with their peers and develop lifelong friendships and support!
Last year more than 40 youth and teens participated in the Summer Theater program. We always have an overall theme that encourages and inspires. The participants all pull together to create the story line and the script. Last year the theme was "This Is Us," which focused on self esteem, positive affirmations, loving yourself, and accepting others for who they are.
Summer Theater 2019 marks the eleventh year of N.I.A. Kids Summer Theater. The summer theater program was created as an extension of our work and mission to provide productive things for youth and teens during their free time. We have served hundreds of youth through this program. The kids are eager to arrive each day. When they leave, they have work to do. They have to learn lines, choreography, and be prepared for any group activities we are preparing for on the next day. But guess what? It's work that they look forward to.
