N.I.A. Kids Youth Service Organization was incorporated as a non-profit organization in the state of Texas in December 2005 and was approved as an independent 501(c)(3) organization in November 2006. N.I.A. Kids also does business as N.I.A. Kids Center for the Performing Arts. LaTara Thompkins founded this organization in an effort to meet a need in the youth and teen community. This need is to provide training in the performing arts, arts education, and youth development programs and opportunities for youth and teens to realize their full potential. The unique aspect of N.I.A. Kids is that we use the performing arts and arts education to provide productive activities for youth and teens. Through the performing arts training/classes, and theatrical productions, N.I.A. Kids has had the opportunity to positively impact the lives of hundreds of youth and teens in multiple capacities.
