Classes begin September 16, 2017
Youth Acting Class (ages 8 – 11 yrs)
Saturdays 11a – 12:30p September 16 – October 21, 2017
Students begin by learning the basic elements of theater performance. Students learn how to analyze characters and how to tap into a variety of emotions that make a great actor GREAT! This class helps to develop acting skills, self-discipline, self-confidence, and self-awareness. The class culminates with a showcase for parents, family, and friends.
Acting for Teens (ages 12 – 18 yrs)
Saturdays 1:00p – 2:30p September 16 – October 21, 2017
Actors receive intense training and are taken to a deeper level of acting and performing. Emphasis is placed on character development and scene work with other actors. Actors learn to analyze scripts, develop characters, and delve into a variety of emotions required to make them versatile actors and performers.
Dance and Choreography (ages 8 – 16yrs)
Saturdays 11:00a – 12:30p
Dancers enjoy a high energy class of hip hop and commercial dance and choreography. This class is great for the beginner to intermediate dancer. They learn how to pick up on choreography, dance routines, and have opportunities to perform throughout the season.
Dance Troupe Ages 10 – 18
Wednesday 5:30p – 7:00p Saturday 9a – 11a
Auditions September 16 11a-12p (call to get on the list)
Classes begin September 20, 2017
Dancers in the Dance Troupe learn a variety of artistic dance forms including hip hop, commercial dance, and musical theater choreography. This group rehearses twice a week. They have opportunities to perform in local competitions but the focus of the troupe is to grow their skill level, provide performance platforms, and to have fun! Students in this class must audition before being selected.
Lyrical Dance Ages 8 – 18
Wednesdays 7:00p – 8:00p
This class is taught by one of the best in Dallas, Candice Johnson. Dancers learn choreography, dance etiquette, and how to put their heart in dance as they perform and minister. Dancers have opportunities to perform at churches and events throughout the Dallas/Ft.Worth metroplex and professional theatrical productions.
Private Vocal (ages 8 – 18)
Mon, Tues, or Wed 5:00p – 7:00p Saturday 10:00a – 1:00p
$35/per 30 min session (4 session commitment)
Private vocal is comprised of a weekly 30 minute session that focus on vocal performance, breathing technique, and vocal control. The overall goal is to increase vocal range and to guide singers to their individual vocal style while establishing a repertoire of songs they can perform. (Call to schedule your day of the week and time slot)
Performance Coaching (ages 8 – 18)
Wed 7:00p – 8:30p
$35/per 30 min session (2-4 session commitment)
Performance coaching is for youth and teens who are preparing for an acting audition, performance, and/or vocal performance. We provide professional coaching, feedback, and development tools for the young performer to go to the next level on their journey to entrepreneurship..
DJ & Music Production (ages 12 – 18)
Thursdays 6:00p – 7:30p
$100 for 4 sessions
Have fun with DJ Don Juan as he provides hands-on instruction that teaches the fundamentals of mixing, blending, and scratching. Students will also learn about music equipment, DJ programs, and how to start their own DJ business.
Costume Design Workshop (ages 8 – 18)
Saturday 12:00p – 2:00p November 11 – December 9, 2017
Students learn all of the intricate details involved in costume design. The students assist the costume designer with the design and creation of costumes and props for the upcoming production.
Christmas Production (ages 8 – 18 yrs)

Rehearsals run November 6 – December 16, 2017
Actors, dancers, singers, and all performers will adhere to an intense rehearsal schedule where they receive professional training to put on a spectacular Christmas production. All cast members acting, singing, and dancing skills are enhanced and further developed throughout the production process. They also learn everything that entails putting on a professional theatrical production.
Open Mic on Friday Nite (ages 12 – 16)
Friday 7:00p – 10:00p
September 22, October 20, November 17, December 22, 2017
Teens are encouraged to come out for an evening of talent, fun, dance, and music, as they support and celebrate their peers and performers. This is a supervised environment that supports our efforts to provide opportunities and platforms for youth and teens to share their talent with the world. All performances must be clean and performers must sign up via email prior to Open Mic Nite at firstname.lastname@example.org to get on the list of performers and receive further instructions. This is also an opportunity for young performers to start creating a reel for future performance opportunities.
If you desire to enroll in more than one class any additional class is a 10% discount except for private classes/lessons.
