About Nia Kids

N.I.A. Kids Youth Service Organization is a non profit after school and performing arts program that targets middle and high school students, as well as, other latch-key students who go home to unsupervised environments daily. N.I.A. Kids addresses the concern and need to provide productive venues and activities for youth and teens, during those at-risk after school and non-school hours.  We help transform their free time from a threat to their safety and security into opportunities to participate in enriching, life-changing programs.

N.I.A. Kids offers a variety of programs and classes for youth and teens ages 5 - 18. We serve the greater southern Dallas County communities.  We provide a  youth/teen friendly haven where students can receive academic support, are motivated to excel in school, and their gifts are Nurtured Inspired and Affirmed.  Each day, all of our students receive academic and emotional support through our Homework Help, Tutoring, Mentoring, and spiritual guidance programs.  We also provide T.A.K.S. and S.A.T. Boot Camp for high school juniors and seniors.

N.I.A. Kids Youth Service Organization is the parent organization of N.I.A. Kids Center for the Performing Arts. This year-round after school and performing arts program provides instructor-led training and instruction in various forms of dance, drama, piano and vocal, and theatrical production. N.I.A. Kids & Teens are sought after throughout the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex to perform at various venues, events, and productions.  Students are always preparing to perform. In addition, we perform an original  production annually each spring.

Our “N.I.A” (a Swahili word meaning purpose) is to Nurture, Inspire, and Affirm youth as captured in our motto.  We believe every child has a PURPOSE!  Our programs help to build self-esteem, self-confidence, and encourage the youth to seek a positive direction in life.
